The Booth

The Booth is a dedicated space for artistic response at Gus Fisher Gallery. Situated in the Dome Gallery, The Booth is a two metre high recess which once housed the building’s original telephone booth during the era occupied by TVNZ.

Gus Fisher Gallery circulates an annual call for proposals for artists to respond to this space. Proposals for The Booth are reviewed blind, maintaining the anonymity of the artist. Selections are made by the Curator of Contemporary Art.
